ECB SARIA Group (Italy)

The Italian organization will be headed by Giovanni Fappani as Managing Director of Italy. Giovanni has been with the Group for 6 years and has headed the ECB finance department in Italy for the last 6 years. As Italy is part of the Southern & Eastern Europe region within SARIA Ingredients & Energy, he will report directly to Christian Stehmann as Managing Director of this region.

Giovanni will be supported by a team of experts in several key business areas, who will report to him:

  • Francesco Crespiatico as Raw Materials Purchasing, Commercial and Business Development Director

  • Giovanni Chiapperino as Logistic Manager
  • Matthias Cerqua as Operations Director
  • Paola Francesca Tedoldi as Quality Manager
  • Lucia Vezzoli as Financial Manager
  • Cinzia Costa as Human Resources Director

SARIA Spain

Spain will be headed by Emmanuel Layous, who will be the new Managing Director of Spain starting in December. Emmanuel has been with the Group since 2013 and has extensive management experience, for example as CEO of SARIA Spain from 2020 to 2023. For the last two years he held the position as Chief Commercial Officer of Sinova.

Since September 2024, with the announcement of the organizational set-up of the SARIA Group, Emmanuel has been Commercial Director of the SARIA Ingredients & Energy division. In this position, he reports directly to the CEO of SARIA Ingredients & Energy, Tim Schwencke. In addition to his role as the new Managing Director of Spain, Emmanuel will continue to be responsible for this central support function. New set-up: Commercial Organization.

To bundle synergies, the decision was taken – together with Christian Stehmann, Managing Director of Southern & Eastern Europe – that Emmanuel will report directly to Tim Schwencke in his new position as Managing Director of Spain.

To enhance the organization, there will be a leadership team for Spain reporting directly to Emmanuel, to be announced shortly.
